New Market - loyd D. Weir, 64, died suddenly Thursday at his home in Venice, Fla. His death was caused by a heart attack. Weir was born Oct. 20, 1898, in Benton County, the son of Howard and Carrie Miles Weir. Weir was educated in New Market schools. Prior to living in Florida, Weir was foreman of a manufacturing plant in Detroit. He was a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Roseville Masonic Lodge and Moslem Temple, all of Detroit. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Dorothy Weir; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Verna Weir, and a niece, Mrs. Mabel E. Case, both of Crawfordsville. A brother, Elmer Weir, preceded him in death. The body will be taken to the Noble Reeves Funeral Home at New Market with services to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
